TÉA selected as New Ohio/IRT Archive Residency Company for 2022-2023
TÉA announced as New Ohio/IRT Archive Residency company for 2022!

TÉA was named the New Ohio/IRT Archive Residency company for 2022 and 2023. To be selected for the residency from among the many talented and committed NYC based theatre companies is an extraordinary honor. And to be partnered with the artistic teams at the New Ohio and IRT for two years is an incredible boon.
The Archive Residency will directly support TÉA’s development of our multi-part Insight art initiative, The Weaver. It will provide performance space, artistic support, institutional continuity, performance opportunities, and financial assistance.
This process began with the development of The Weaver Part I which TÉA performed in July, 2021. The Archive residency enable us to continue our collaborative creation of parts II and III through development workshops at IRT. In July, 2023 we showcased Paradigm, the second installment of this initiative, at the New Ohio's Ice Factory Festival.
The residency continued to support our creative efforts in 2023; culminating in Being Chaka. Being Chaka premiered on the New Ohio’s main stage for a four week run Summer, 2023.
