  • Roxanne Kent

Greetings everyone - I’m Roxanne (she/her). I’ve had a fascination with theatre since 4th grace when I was Wendy in my elementary school’s production of Peter Pan. This continued through high school but had to take a break in college when my genetics major kept me in Brown’s bio lab till all hours, most nights…

I went back to community theatre after school and my work in public relations also gave an outlet for creativity as I wrote, cast, and directed tv and radio commercials and wrote environmental documentaries.

Through my friendship with the Founding Director of Intersections International I was brought into the world of using Insight methods and the arts to turn a spotlight on social justice issues in a deeply penetrating way. Working with Chuk, Fred, and Vieve to promote this engaging approach in theatre and in school workshops will always be one of my life’s most defining experiences.

Now I am working to assist families with children who are currently homeless or looking to provide greater and lasting economic stability through two wonderful organizations- Family Promise and Circles USA.

In these three areas of life now, I draw hope - a most sustaining force!
